Customer Service Representative

Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the main point of contact between our company and our customers. You’ll be solving problems, processing orders, and making a real impact every day.

Skills and experience needed

You’ll have a natural disposition towards helping others and project a friendly, professional demeanor at all times. You’ll have confidence on the phone, and naturally guide people to the best solution.

Here are a few specifics of what we’re looking for:

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Generate and deliver quotes to clients
  • Manage and resolve product or delivery issues
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email
  • Record all customer interactions in real time using our ERP system
  • Participate in daily team meetings to review case status and workload
  • Escalate inquiries to Sales when product requirements are unclear
  • Take full ownership of each customer case from start to resolution
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams

Success Metrics

  • Case cycle-time: Complete customer requests quickly and accurately
  • Quality: Maintain error-free communication and documentation
  • Ownership: Fully manage each customer case, escalating only when necessary

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in customer service
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience using an ERP system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

We look very favourably on candidates with experience selling cutting tools or industrial supply products.
